Lori Reighn Matta is a singer/songwriter with a passion for worship ministry. Lori’s vision for worship is for God’s children to worship Him “in Spirit and in truth” (John 4:23-24). She was delighted to release an EP album project, “Most Holy One”, in 2013, and is now in the process of recording a full album of original music and performing her songs live. Lori’s previous recording experience has included recording with Christian singer/songwriter David M. Bailey, where she sang “Mary’s Song” on his 2006 Christmas album, “Some Quiet Night”. She also recorded as part of an ensemble on SounDoctrine’s song “Inspire”. Lori has appeared on television and radio programs, and enjoys performing at various venues including churches, community outreach events, and special services such as weddings. Lori has been working since 2012 with talented producer/composer Todd Maki, whose musical vision and giftedness have helped her music soar at a professional level.
Lori began singing special music in the church with her father at 12 years of age, and has been using her musical gifts to minister ever since! She has served as a worship leader at several churches throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania, and received a specific calling to minister to the church on a mission trip to the Middle East. Lori has studied theology and loves to illuminate Biblical truth in a fresh way within her lyrics. She is passionate about leading people into a deeper experience with the Lord Jesus Christ through musical worship.
Lori’s family has always been an incredible source of encouragement, passing on a heritage of musical excellence as well as a deep and abiding faith in Christ. She married her awesome husband John in 2009 and they live in the Youngstown, Ohio area with their precious daughter Lily. John has always been Lori’s biggest fan, her partner in life and ministry, and her supporter every step of the way.
Lori’s involvement in worldwide missions as well as her extensive involvement in multiple church denominations throughout her lifetime have led to her being called to write and record original songs that speak across cultural and denominational lines to tell of the truth and good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She hopes that as God leads the way in each musical endeavor, HIS name will be honored and glorified, and that her music will bring many to a deeper faith in Jesus Christ, the One who is all Holy and who holds everything together.
